Ruben Amorim’s plans have been significantly disrupted by injuries. He will be without three key players who started in the win over Burnley, as Matheus Cunha, Mason Mount, and Diogo Dalot are all unavailable. This forces the manager into a major reshuffle for one of the biggest games of the season.

The changes are straightforward in some areas. Patrick Dorgu, for instance, is set to slot in at left-wing back as a direct replacement for Dalot. Mount’s absence, however, creates a tactical opportunity in midfield.

It opens the door for talented youngster Kobbie Mainoo to make his first Premier League start of the season. Consequently, captain Bruno Fernandes could move into a more advanced attacking role, where his league-leading creativity will be vital.
