Manchester United are set to make a move to sign highly-rated West Ham youngster Declan Rice.
The 19-year-old has shone since breaking into the first team at The London Stadium and has emerged as one of the Premier League‘s top young talents.
Comfortable in both midfield and defence, Rice is believed to be on a contract worth just £3500-a-week and has so far failed to agree terms on a new deal as he seeks a weekly wage befitting of his current first-team status.
The Express are reporting that United, who have been actively looking for defensive reinforcements, are likely to face competition from a host of clubs including Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Borussia Dortmund.
The versatility and potential of Rice, who has been at the centre of an international tug-of-war between England and The Republic of Ireland, has attracted Jose Mourinho and club officials are believed to have made their interest known.
