Report: Alexis Sanchez has ‘concrete meetings’ with Juventus and Inter ahead of Man Utd exit

Alexis Sanchez could be nearing a Manchester United exit, with the forward having had ‘concrete meetings’ with Juventus and Inter Milan over a summer move.

The 30-year-old has endured a nightmare spell at Old Trafford since signing from Arsenal in 2018, failing to recapture his best form scoring just three league goals in 18 months at the club.

The Chile international is the Premier League highest-paid player on a huge £500,000-a-week deal, with Manchester United desperate to offload the former Barcelona star after a difficult spell.

According to the Independent, Sanchez’s exit from the club is moving closer with his agent having met with officials from Italian sides Juventus and Inter Milan regarding a proposed move.

Sanchez’s wages were believed to be the major stumbling block in a potential transfer, though talks have begun in an attempt to strike a deal.

Neither Juventus or Inter will match Sanchez’s huge pay-packet, with United likely to have to subsidise the player’s wages should he not drop his financial demands.

A move to either club would see Sanchez return to Serie A, having spent five years at Udinese prior to joining Barcelona in 2011.
