Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are all ‘chasing’ Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare with the club prepared to cash in on the starlet this month.
The France U21 international is attracting interest from across Europe following his displays for the Ligue 1 side this season, the 20-year-old having impressed for a Lille side pushing towards Champions League qualification.
The midfielder is the latest acquisition secured by highly-rated sporting director Luis Campos, Soumare joining on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain two years ago and now likely to be sold on for a significant profit with Premier League clubs circling.
According to Sky Sports, Real Madrid and Valencia are also monitoring developments, and Lille are prepared to sanction the sale of a box-to-box player likened to Paul Pogba during the January transfer window.
The French side currently possesses a host of young talent being monitored by Europe’s elite, with the likes of forward Victor Osimhen and centre-back Gabriel also on the radar of the continent’s leading sides.
However, Soumare is the only player of the trio likely to be allowed to leave mid-season, and Lille will hope that the wealth of interest can spark a bidding war for the player in the coming weeks.
