Maguire not focusing on transfer rumours

Harry Maguire insists he is not focused on speculation linking him with a move away from Leicester City this summer.

The England international is believed to be a transfer target for both Manchester clubs, with both City and United keen on a deal for the 26-year-old as they look to strengthen their defensive options this summer.

Leicester are believed to be demanding a world-record fee for a defender for the player, with Brendan Rodgers side reportedly wanting around £90 million for their prized asset.

Maguire is currently away with England preparing for this summer’s Nations League finals, with Gareth Southgate’s side facing the Netherlands on June 6, and the defender admits the national side are his sole focus at present as England look to win their first piece of silverware since 1966.

“When I’m away with England, I don’t think about anything to do with club football,” Maguire said.

“As soon as I wear this badge, it’s really important to focus on England and nothing else. I’m fully focused on the two games coming up and that’s where my head is at the moment.”
