Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria has completed a loan move to Championship side Reading until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old spent the first half of the season playing for Rangers, where he was signed to work with Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard, who is of course in charge at Ibrox these days.

He started 11 games in the Scottish Premiership, scoring one goal, but asked for his spell north of the border to be cut short, and he has now completed a move to join Championship strugglers Reading for the rest of the season.

Reading boss Jose Gomes told the club’s website: “In Ovie we have signed a player who is comfortable with the ball at his feet, can pass the ball quickly and effectively to make things happen in the final third and who shows a composure which is rare in such a young central midfielder.

“I am really looking forward to working with him at Reading.”

Ejaria has made eight appearances for Liverpool since being handed his debut by Jurgen Klopp in 2016.
