Blackburn begin their Championship campaign with a Friday night trip to face Wolves at Molineux.
Tony Mowbray’s men take on relegated Wolves aiming for improved fortunes after a 20th-place finish last season. After a positive pre-season, Rovers beat Burton in the Carabao Cup, and will now aim to take the scalp of a Wolves side in the second tier for the first time since 2018.
Mowbray has added to his squad this summer with the signings of Jayden Fevrier from Stockport County, and £2m recruit Moussa Baradji. Former Ipswich midfielder Sam Morsy has also joined as a free agent.
Wolves will start as favourites for tonight’s game, having kept together the bulk of their Premier League squad. Kieran Trippier and Raul Jimenez are new faces to add huge experience to the dressing room.

New signing Jayden Fevrier will hope to make his full debut after scoring a late winner against Burton from the bench. Fellow substitute Andri Gudjohnsen was also on target in the comeback win and hoping to earn a start.
