Liverpool star Sadio Mane has played down reports linking him to Real Madrid, insisting he is just focusing on being ready for start of the 2018/19 Premier League season.
There were reports a few weeks ago that the Senegal forward has previously agreed a move to the Bernabeu, although that was before the shock resignation of Zinedine Zidane.
However those reports have seemingly died down as quickly as they appeared, although the Liverpool forward has refused to deny that a move to the Spanish capital is a possibility.
He said: “These are just rumours. I am not aware of anything and haven’t been contacted.
“I remain a Liverpool player and I will join my team-mates in the United States for the pre-season tour. Real are a great team, but I am focused on my team, Liverpool.”
Real Madrid could be in the market for a new attacking player this summer with Cristiano Ronaldo potentially making a move away from the Spanish capital, with an £88m move to Juventus thought to be close.
