Liverpool are readying an improved second offer for Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia worth £45m.
Liverpool saw an opening offer for the teenager turned down last week, but the Reds are preparing to return with an improved bid worth an initial £42.5m with a further £2.5m dependent on add-ons.

Lavia has been chased by a number of the Premier League’s top teams after an excellent debut season at Southampton, with the midfielder a standout performer despite the Saints’ relegation from the top division.

The move for Lavia continues an overhaul of the club’s central options with Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai having already arrived at Anfield this summer.
