Manchester United and Juventus have reportedly agreed a swap deal involving Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford throughout the summer, with Inter Milan having seen two bids rejected for the Belgian international.
Juventus are now said to have moved ahead of their Serie A rivals in the race for the 26-year-old’s signature, having offered Manchester United Argentine forward Paulo Dybala in exchange.
Dybala has scored 78 goals in 182 appearances for Juventus since joining from Palermo in 2015, though he has often been utilised out of position on the right and has played a peripheral role since Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival from Real Madrid last summer.
According to Sky Sports, United have agreed to the swap deal and Dybala’s agent has now flown to the UK for talks regarding the proposed switch.

Any deal is likely to hinge on United’s ability to convince the 25-year-old to move to the Premier League, with Dybala said to be keen on staying in Turin with the Italian champions.
Dybala, who scored the winner against United in their Champions League group game at Old Trafford last season, is currently on holiday following his involvement at the Copa America, but he is expected to meet with Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri to discuss his future upon his return before making a final decision.
Meanwhile, Napoli’s pursuit of Mauro Icardi could leave the door open for Inter Milan to return with a fresh bid for Lukaku.
Antonio Conte’s side had been desperate to offload the controversial forward as they sought to raise funds for the Lukaku deal, and according to Corriere dello Sport Napoli have now approached Inter over €80m deal.
Roma are also reportedly interested in Icardi and should the 26-year-old leave the San Siro, Inter are likely to be able to meet United’s £75m valuation and return with an improved offer for Lukaku.
With just over a week remaining of the transfer window, Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the clubs are continuing to work on making additions.

Having reportedly agreed the swap deal with Dybala, the club are also likely to return with an improved bid for Leicester defender Harry Maguire.
When asked about transfers, Solskjaer confirmed the club are hopeful of adding further to the summer additions of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James.
“I’m not here to talk about rumours about other team’s players,” the Norwegian said after United’s 1-0 win over Kristiansund. “We’re working on one or two cases. It’s 10 days or so before we start the league and hopefully we can announce a fresh face or two.”
