Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool ‘will fight with all we have’ to win the Premier League title this season.
Klopp’s side currently sit two points clear of second-placed Manchester City, having played a game more, with just seven games remaining of the league season.
Liverpool host third-placed Tottenham at Anfield on Sunday, in a clash which could have huge implications in this season’s title race.
The Reds could find themselves second by the time they kick-off, with Pep Guardiola’s City side facing struggling Fulham a day earlier.
Hopes have been raised that Liverpool could end their long wait for a league title this season, having not been crowned champions since 1990, and Klopp insists his players will ‘fight for the title’ as the run in begins.
“I love talking about the game, but i now want to get on with it,” he said at his pre-match press conference.
“We are in a fight for the title and I want the people to feel that – it’s very positive.”
“There will be difficult and tricky moment – but we have to fight with all we have.”
