Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said that Alisson, Mohamed Salah and Joel Matip are all in contention to feature in this weekend’s crucial clash with Manchester United.
Klopp’s league leaders head to Old Trafford to face their fierce rivals on Sunday, looking to maintain their eight-point advantage at the top of the division, as well as their 100 per cent start to the new season.
The club’s prospects could be boosted by the returns of goalkeeper Alisson and defender Joel Matip, whilst Mohamed Salah is also in contention having picked up an injury in the win over Leicester prior to the international break.
“Ali, Joel and Mo are looking better,” the Liverpool boss said in his pre-match press conference.
“How good? We have to see. There’s two more sessions to come.
“We have to make decisions and that’s how it is. Nothing is fixed yet.”
Ahead of the trip to face Manchester United, Klopp otherwise confirmed the club have no new injury concerns, with his squad having all returned healthy from this week’s international fixtures.
“The players on international duty all came back healthy, which is very, very important,” Klopp added.
“So we now had three or four days with the full squad to prepare it, which is a little bit comfortable at least.”
