The funniest and best football-related tweets, featuring an emotional Brian Henderson at the Champions League final, Sean Cox, Unai Emery, De Rossi’s farewell, and some high-quality Argentine brawling.ย
The club season is finally over. Well, aside from all those countries that play their domestic football in the summer. Other than them, the season isย finally over after this week’s European finals. Chelsea smashed Arsenal to claim the Europa League, while Liverpool won a historic sixth Champions League title with a 2-0 win over Spurs.
The Premier League club’s triumph meant a bit more to some than others though, two people in particular.
Jordan Henderson’s dad Brian was very emotional seeing his son captain the Reds to glory.ย
Hendersonโs dad had throat cancer and asked him not to see him while he was going through treatment. Iโve hugged a parent in the same way for similar reasons and this video is definitely the highlight of the season pic.twitter.com/FgSlaYUUdY

Over a year since being attacked by Roma fans, Sean Cox was able to watch the final with his family.

The final itself was not very good to watch, but it wasn’t the only poor quality all-English final we had to sit through this week.
This is the worst quality of football in the first half of a European cup final I've seen since Wednesday.

Some managers live by their philosophy of playing out from the back.ย
