Phil Jones says Manchester United’s players are ‘buzzing’ to be playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjer.
The former Manchester United striker was named as the club’s next permanent manager in an announcement last week, having enjoyed a successful spell as caretaker boss after replacing the sacked Jose Mourinho in December.
Jones admits the players are enjoying their football under Solskjaer, and are delighted that the 46-year-old has been handed the position on a permanent basis.
‘The lads are buzzing,’ Jones told the Daily Mail.
‘He’s come in, he’s been a breath of fresh air for us.
‘He’s put the arms around the shoulders of people who needed it. His man-management skills are terrific and he’s definitely what we need going forward.
‘I think everyone can see that (he has laid foundations).
‘I think the fans, the media, I think everyone can see what he’s done and how he wants to play since he has come, and I think we’ve shown that in quite a few games.
