Inter Milan officials are set to fly to the UK this week for talks with Manchester United this week as they step up their pursuit of Romelu Lukaku.
The Italian giants are desperate to secure a deal for the Belgian, who has been strongly tipped to leave Old Trafford this summer having apparently fallen out-of-favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Lukaku has made no secret of his desire to move to Serie A, though Inter have so far struggled to raise the necessary funds to secure the deal.
Manchester United are believed to want a fee of £75m for the 26-year-old, who has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances since joining from Everton in 2017.
According to Sky Sports, Italian champions Juventus have now also expressed an interest in the forward, which has prompted Inter officials to fly in for talks with United to try to conclude a deal.
Inter’s hopes of signing Lukaku may hinge on their ability to sell Maurco Icardi, with Napoli reportedly interested in the Argentine forward.
If the Belgian does get his move to the San Siro, Manchester United have been linked with Sevilla striker Wissam Ben-Yedder as a potential replacement.
