Chelsea star Callum Hudson-Odoi wants assurances over his playing time before committing his long-term future to the club.
The England international is entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, with German giants Bayern Munich keen on signing the teenage winger.
Hudson-Odoi handed in a transfer request at the club in January amid interest from Bayern, the Bundesliga club having several bids for the 18-year-old rejected by Chelsea.
Chelsea are desperate to keep Hudson-Odoi, who is currently recovering from a ruptured Achilles, and are believed to have offered the academy graduate a five-year deal.
According to the Sun, the youngster is prepared to commit his future to the club as long as he is guaranteed first-team opportunities.
Chelsea’s managerial situation is also delaying negotiations over a new contract, with manager Maurizio Sarri expected to leave the club for Juventus.
Having grown frustrated at a lack of opportunities under Sarri in the first half of last season, Hudson-Odoi forced his way into the Italian’s plans before suffering injury.
The highly-rated talent is now likely to wait for Chelsea’s managerial situation to be resolved before signing a new deal.
