Eden Hazard’s proposed move from Chelsea to Real Madrid is stalling with the clubs still €20m apart in their valuation of the player.
The 28-year-old announced his intention to leave Chelsea this summer after seven seasons at Stamford Bridge, having scored twice in the club’s 4-1 victory over Arsenal in the Europa League final in what looks to be his final appearance for the West London side.
Spanish giants Real have held a long-standing interest in the Belgian, with manager Zinedine Zidane keen to take Hazard to the Bernabeu as he looks to overhaul his squad after a disappointing season.
Zidane’s side finished 19 points behind La Liga champions Barcelona, whilst also suffered a humbling Champions League exit to Dutch side Ajax and see Hazard as a focal point in their new-look side.
According to AS however, Madrid are unwilling to pay over £100m for a player who is entering the final year of his contract, although Chelsea are determined to hold out for a significant fee for their prized asset.
The two clubs are currently believed to be around €20m apart in their valuation, with Madrid aiming to conclude his signing following the upcoming international fixtures.
