Football’s transfer windows are a period of continued speculation as the rumour mill hits overdrive, with fans eager for their side to strengthen in pursuit of success.

Major transfers can be complicated as teams haggle over price-tags or desperately bid to keep hold of their prized possessions, with some of the most memorable transfers in Premier League history having been rather drawn-out affairs.

Jadon Sancho finally completed his long-awaited move to Manchester United this summer, with the Red Devils having pursued a deal for the Borussia Dortmund winger for more than a year.

Sancho is not the first notable name to have been involved in a lengthy transfer saga and following his move to the Premier League we’ve looked back on some of the biggest.
