Everton warned to expect more Idrissa Gueye interest in the summer

Everton have been warned to expect renewed interest in Idrissa Gueye this summer.

The Senegal international was subject of strong interest from Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window, with Everton having rejected two offers from the French champions.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Thierno Seydi, an advisor of the midfielder has warned the club to expect more interest this summer, with the Parisian club set to return for the 29-year-old.

“Itโ€™s true that we would have liked him to go to PSG, but this approach brought him to the fore to play in the best teams in the world,” Seydi is reported to have said.

“Iโ€™m convinced that a lot of big teams will be interested in him.

“Itโ€™s a shame he didnโ€™t move to PSG, but he hasnโ€™t lost everything because he will be one of the most sought after players at the end of the season.”

Gueye handed in a transfer request during the transfer window amidst PSGโ€™s interest, with the defensive midfielder keen to move to Ligue 1.
