Unai Emery admits he is wary of ‘very competitive’ Rafael Benitez as Arsenal prepare to face Newcastle this weekend.
Arsenal host Benitez’s Newcastle at the Emirates on Monday night football, looking to maintain their place in the Premier League‘s top four.
Newcastle have been in decent form of late, winning three of their past five, and Emery praised compatriot Benitez admitting he is prepared for a difficult encounter when the two sides meet.
‘Newcastle are in a good moment,’ Emery told his pre-match press conference.
‘They have a lot good players and good organisation. The coach has a lot of experience and he is very competitive and I know that.
‘The last matches they are playing, they are playing with a big confidence and very strong defensively and very competitive.
‘My focus is on how we can break their defensive positions and also a big performance for us to take a win against them.’
