Borussia Dortmund are being linked with a move for Callum Hudson-Odoi as the club consider potential replacements for Jadon Sancho.
Dortmund are understood to be prepared to allow Sancho to leave the club this summer, the England international having been linked with a move to Manchester United after talks over a deal broke down last year.
United were unwilling to match Dortmund’s £108m asking price for the 21-year-old, though recent reports have suggested the Bundesliga side are prepared to lower that figure to around £75m this summer with Liverpool and Chelsea also tentatively linked.
According to Eurosport, Dortmund have started their recruitment process for potential replacements and are considering a move for Chelsea’s Hudson-Odoi, who has struggled for regular football this season and could be allowed to depart.
The 20-year-old has failed to build on the exciting initial emergence that saw Bayern Munich make several offers for his services, with Chelsea having tied down the academy graduate to a long-term deal worth around £120,000-a-week.
Hudson-Odoi made just 10 league starts during the 2020/21 season and Chelsea could allow him to leave in search of regular minutes, either on loan or a permanent deal.
Chelsea currently have a wealth of options in wide areas with Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner having all featured on the flanks this season and Hudson-Odoi could feel an exit is best for his development as he looks to break back into the England fold.
Dortmund could prove an ideal destination for a young player in need of regular action, though the German’s list of targets is also thought to include Leeds’ Raphinha and Lille winger Jonathan Ikone.
