Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Spurs youngster Josh Onomah, on a season-long loan from the Premier League club.
Steve Bruce has added to his summer signing spree, with the signing of Josh Onomah on a season-long loan from Spurs.
Additionally Onomah also penned a new four-year deal with parent club Spurs, prior to completing his loan-deal with the Midlands club.
Upon signing for Villa, Onomah spoke to the club’s official website, stating the following:
“This is a huge football club and I want to really make my mark here and prove to be a player the manager can rely on.”
The Enfield born youngster is a product of the Spurs academy. In addition to this he was also part of the England Under-20 World Cup winning side in June.
Since Mauricio Pochettino’s arrival to Spurs in 2014, Onomah has appeared sporadically for the Lilywhites. He scored his first professional goal for the club last September, in a 5-0 win over Gillingham.
Onomah is highly rated by both Tottenham staff and fans. One of Football Faithful’s writers wrote a piece about the youngster back in June, claiming he was ‘A star of the future.’
