Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho has dismissed speculation linking him with a return to the Premier League.
Coutinho previously spent five years at Liverpool, developing into one of the Premier League’s finest players before joining the Spanish giants in a £142m deal in 2018.
The 26-year-old has enjoyed a mixed spell in Spain, starting just 19 La Liga games for Ernesto Valverde’s side this season, and has been linked with moves to both Manchester United and Chelsea.
The Brazil international has since moved to dismiss any speculation linking him with a return to England, saying his intention is to remain at the Nou Camp.
“My head is exclusively in Barcelona. Returning to England now does not fit into my plans,” Coutinho told the Sunday Mirror.
“This is my second season here. I have won titles but I am always an ambitious and demanding player. So, I want more and more.
“But I’m happy. I wanted to play in Spain and I’m at the best club in Spain.”
