In the aftermath of his sides 3-0 defeat at the Nou Camp last night Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was seen running onto the pitch and becoming involved with in a lengthy discussion with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
Conte also admitted that he felt compelled to compliment Messi on his top class display.
“When you have the opportunity to make a great compliment to Messi, I think it’s right,”
“I’m very pleased to have the opportunity at the end of the game to give him my compliments. We are talking about an extraordinary player, the best in the world.
“I think we are talking about the player that can move the final result for every team that he’s playing for.
“This type of player, (there is) one player born in 50 years.” Conte said.
Chelsea played really well for large parts of the game, but Messi was in sensational form, scoring his 99th and 100th Champions League goals and also supplying a sublime assist for Ousmane Dembele.
