Chelsea legend Pat Nevin has labelled Manchester United’s historic Champions League win over PSG as ‘magical’ no matter who you support.
United became the first team in Champions League history to progress to the next round having lost the first leg at home by two or more goals.
Romelu Lukaku scored twice for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, before Marcus Rashford’s late penalty secured a 3-1 win which saw United progress to the quarter-finals on away goals.
The win was the latest success for caretaker boss Solskjaer, who has transformed the club’s fortunes since being appointed in December, and former Scotland international Nevin was full of praise for what he described as a ‘magical’ performance.
“I am not a Manchester United fan but I am grinning from ear to ear at what I have seen here. I would put it as more than history, I would put it as magical.” Nevin told BBC 5 Live.
”I think we can all agree that no matter who you support, you have to give credit where credit’s due.”
