Eddie Howe has hailed the importance of Josh King to his Bournemouth side ahead of their clash with Leicester this weekend.
The Norwegian forward has been in terrific form of late, scoring six goals in his past nine appearances, and Howe was full of praise for the 27-year-old’s contribution.
“Joshua King is a very important player for us. He brings pace and technique to the front line and he’s in good goal-scoring form for us.” Howe told his pre-match press conference.
Bournemouth travel to face Leicester at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, with their opposition having impressed since Brendan Rodgers’ arrival from Celtic as manager.
After suffering a late defeat in his first game in charge against Watford, the Northern Irishman has overseen back-to-back wins as Leicester have climbed into the top half.
Howe is anticipating a difficult fixture this weekend, having been impressed by the former Liverpool manager’s impact since arriving in the Midlands.
“Brendan Rodgers has come in and had a real impact on the team, we know how difficult it will be,” Howe added.
“But we head into the game with confidence after some better results.”
