Arsenal expect key duo Odegaard and Zinchenko to be fit for North London Derby

Arsenal expect Martin Odegaard and Oleksandr Zinchenko to be fit for the club’s North London derby meeting with Tottenham.

Arsenal face Spurs on October 1 in a huge clash between the two capital rivals, with just a point separating the league-leading Gunners from Antonio Conte’s side after strong starts to the season.

Mikel Arteta is expecting to welcome back Odegaard and Zinchenko for the clash, after both players missed the 3-0 win at Brentford before the international break.

Odegaard was absent after picking up a calf problem, while Zinchenko also sat out the win over Thomas Frank’s side.

Despite a strong start to the campaign, the Ukrainian has been suffering with calf issues and has missed three Premier League fixtures this season.

However, the Daily Mail are reporting that both will return to the squad for the showdown with Spurs at the Emirates.

Arteta faces a selection dilemma at left-back, with Kieran Tierney having impressed in Zinchenko’s absence. The 25-year-old shone at Brentford and produced another encouraging performance for Scotland in midweek.
