Tottenham Hotspur have sacked Thomas Frank after a dreadful run of domestic results. Frank leaves Spurs after just eight months in charge, with the club slumped in 16th in the Premier League table.

The North London side have won just twice in the Premier League since late October and are just five points above the Premier League’s relegation places. Results must improve to avoid a potential first relegation since 1977.
Spurs are not the first team to press the Premier League panic button this season. Five permanent managers have been sacked since the start of the campaign, while another, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca, departed the West Londoners by mutual consent.
Nottingham Forest have sacked two permanent managers this season, with both former Tottenham head coaches.
Nuno Espirito Santo was the first manager dismissed this season in September, just months after guiding Forest to European qualification for the first time since 1995.
His replacement, Ange Postecoglou, was sacked shortly after as he failed to win any of his eight games in charge.
At just 39 days, the Australian became the shortest-serving permanent Premier League manager in the league’s history.
