Premier League clubs have not been afraid to make changes this season. Sean Dyche is the latest to lose his job after only 114 days in charge at the City Ground.

Forest’s precarious position just above the relegation places has promoted change, with a short statement confirming the decision.

On Wednesday, Tottenham Hotspur sacked Thomas Frank after a dreadful run of domestic results. Frank leaves Spurs after just eight months in charge, with the club slumped in 16th in the Premier League table.

A Spurs statement has said ‘results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary’.

The North London side have won just twice in the Premier League since late October and are just five points above the Premier League’s relegation places. Results must improve to avoid a potential first relegation since 1977.

Spurs and Forest are not the first teams to press the Premier League panic button this season. Six permanent managers have been sacked since the start of the campaign, while another, Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca, departed the West Londoners by mutual consent.

Nottingham Forest have now sacked three permanent managers this season. Nuno Espirito Santo was the first manager dismissed this season in September, just months after guiding Forest to European qualification for the first time since 1995.

His replacement, Ange Postecoglou, was sacked shortly after as he failed to win any of his eight games in charge. At just 39 days, the Australian became the shortest-serving permanent Premier League manager in the league’s history. Dyche came in as his replacement but has not suffered the same fate.
