8. Benfica – 83

Benfica are one of Portugal’s ‘Big Three’ and the most successful club in Primeira Liga history.

Their 38 league titles put them ahead of Porto (30) and Sporting Lisbon (19), with that trio having won all but two Portuguese league titles with only Belenenses (1945–46) and Boavista (2000–01) having disrupted that dominance.

Benfica won back-to-back European Cups in 1961 and 1962.

7. Barcelona – 92

Barcelona can count 92 honours and trophies among their extensive list of silverware, with the Catalan giants one of world football’s biggest clubs.

Their collection includes 27 La Liga, 31 Copa del Rey, and five Champions League trophies, with the Spaniards having won continental trebles in 2008/09 and 2014/15.

Los Blancos have been crowned La Liga champions a record 35 times, while their 14 Champions League wins is also a record and twice the number of AC Milan (7), who sit second for European crowns.

4. Celtic – 113

Celtic sit fourth for trophies and honours won, having been part of an Old Firm duopoly of Scottish football.

Celtic and Glasgow rivals Rangers have won every Scottish top-flight title since 1985 between them, while only 19 of the 127 titles won have gone to clubs outside that duo. The former have won 53 titles, including 11 of the last 12, and are closing in on Rangers’ record of 55.
