Manchester United chief Ed Woodward will meet with representatives of Inter Milan to discuss the potential transfer of Romelu Lukaku.
Lukaku has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer, having fallen out-of-favour with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Belgian has made no secret of his desire to one day play in Italy, with Inter set to discuss a deal to take Lukaku to Serie A.
According to The Mirror executive vice-chairman Woodward will meet with officials from the Milan side ‘in the coming days’, to discuss a deal in the region of โฌ70-80m for a player who has scored 42 goals in 96 appearances for the club since joining from Everton in 2017.
Solskajer is prepared to sanction the sale of the forward, however, Inter are unlikely to be able to afford such a fee for the 26-year-old and could offer Croatian winger Ivan Perisic in part-exchange.
United have been linked with a move for the 30-year-old in recent seasons, who Inter are said to value at around โฌ30-35m. Whether Solskjaer would accept the inclusion of Perisic remains to be seen, with the United boss prioritising the signing of younger players this summer.
