Raul Jimenez has spoken on the ‘incredible’ links to some of Europe’s leading clubs amid continued transfer speculation surrounding the Wolves forward.
The Mexican international has starred since arriving at Molineux two years ago and his performances have not gone unnoticed by a host of Europe’s elite, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool having been credited with an interest in the 29-year-old.
Jimenez – who has scored 16 goals in all competitions so far this season – has now opened up on the ‘rumours’ regarding his future and admits it is incredible to be linked with several ‘teams that are important in football history’.
“It is something very cool, I do not know if they will be true, they are rumours,” Jimenez said in a YouTube interview.
“Since they are talking about me, different teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool – they are teams that are important in football history.
“It is an incredible thing to be on the radar and on the lips of those teams. It is something good for me to continue growing, making an effort and taking it as an incentive so that, if possible, I can achieve it.”
Jimenez refused to be drawn on which side would be his preference should he leave Wolves, but suggested a move away from the Midlands was a realistic possibility given the reported interest in his services.
“My dream team? Whatever one that signs me would be incredible,” he said.
“Imagine that right now I tell you one and in the end I go to the rival, they will reproach me all the time, I will get into trouble!”
