Willian: My future is at Chelsea

Chelsea winger Willian has insisted that his future remains at Chelsea, despite renewed interest from Barcelona.

The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge in the summer, with Manchester United and Barcelona strongly linked with a move for the winger.

Barcelona placed a number of bids, although they didn’t meet Chelsea‘s valuation, with the Spanish side opting to sign Willian’s compatriot Malcom instead in a £38m deal from Bordeaux.

However, Malcom has failed to make an impact at the Camp Nou this season, making just five appearances in La Liga, and reports this week have claimed that the Blaugrana have renewed their interest in signing the Chelsea winger, in a potential player swap deal with Malcom moving in the opposite direction.

Willian scored the winning goal in Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Newcastle on Saturday evening, and when asked about a potential transfer he insisted that his future was at Stamford Bridge

“My future is here at Chelsea, I don’t know what you’re talking about. I didn’t see the papers,” the Brazilian told BT Sport.
