West Ham and Wolves have expressed an interest in signing Manchester City defender Nicolas Otamendi.
The Argentina international played a key role as City were crowned champions in 2018, but has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad with Aymeric Laporte, John Stones and Vincent Kompany all preferred.
Having found opportunities limited this season, Otamendi is believed to be keen on a move away this summer, with Premier League rivals West Ham and Wolves reportedly interested.
According to the Daily Star Otamendi is keen to secure regular game time as he bids to keep his place in the Argentina national team.
His potential availability has alerted Wolves, who are keen to strengthen defence after enjoying a superb debut season back in the top flight.
West Ham are also interested as they look to strengthen at centre-back, with manager Manuel Pellegrini familiar with the player following his time in charge at City.
Argentine side River Plate are also monitoring Otamendi’s situation, though it would be unlikely the Buenos Aires side would be able to put together a suitable financial package to secure the deal.
