West Ham captain Noble extends contract

West Ham captain Mark Noble has extending his contract at the club, signing a new deal that will run until 2021.

The long-serving midfielder is a product of West Ham’s famed youth academy, and having made his debut for the club in 2004 has gone on to make 446 appearances for his boyhood club.

The club exercised an option to extend the deal of the 31-year-old, with Noble delighted to recommit his future to The Hammers.

“It was an option in my contract that I signed a few years ago now, and it’s an extra year, which is fantastic for me and my family,” Noble told West Ham’s official website.

“I’ve been at this club all my life – I’ve always said I wanted to be at this club and I think we’re moving in the right direction, so it was the right time to do it.”

Noble will be hoping West Ham can continue their fine recent form when they face Fulham on Saturday, Manuel Pellegrini’s side having won three consecutive Premier League fixtures.
