Arsene Wenger believes ‘destiny’ is against Liverpool in this season’s title race.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are looking to end a 29-year wait for a league title and currently trail leaders Manchester City by just a point, with two games of the season remaining.
Despite losing just one game all season, Liverpool still require a slip up from City, though former Arsenal boss Wenger believes Klopp’s side may falter themselves when they face Newcastle this weekend.
“There is still hope but they go to Newcastle,” Wenger told BEIN Sports.
“Newcastle is not an easy place for Liverpool. They are safe and I’m scared for Liverpool even with one game to go City could have already won the Championship.
“They will fight until the end. it looks like there is destiny that is against Liverpool.
“They dominated for such a long period English football. From 89-90 until today they cannot win the championship anymore and every time there is small things against them.”
