United, City and Chelsea ‘on alert’ with Barcelona ‘willing to sell’ exciting teenager Moriba

Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are said to have been put ‘on alert’ after it emerged that Barcelona are ‘willing to sell’ exciting teenager Ilaix Moriba.

Moriba has just a year remaining on his current contract and the Spanish side are so far reluctant to meet the 18-year-old’s wage demands, given the concerning financial situation surrounding the Catalans at present.

The failure to agree new terms has alerted several clubs in England with Chelsea and both Manchester sides reportedly monitoring developments ahead of a potential move.

Mundo Deportivo, as per the Mail, are reporting that Barcelona could allow the midfielder to leave this summer should he not lower his demands, with RB Leipzig also interested in signing the La Masia academy graduate.

Moriba recently changed his representatives from Stellar Group to switch to German agency Rogon, whose demands have not been greeted favourably by the Spanish giants.

The youngster has made 18 appearances across all competitions for Barcelona this season and is viewed as one of the club’s most promising talents, though could move on this summer unless a compromise is found between club and player.
