Tottenham take on Arsenal in the Premier League this evening in the season’s second instalment of the North London derby.

Clashes between the two teams rarely disappoint and there’s plenty at stake again at the Emirates. Spurs are seeking a third consecutive win in all competitions, though an unconvincing extra-time win over non-league Tamworth at the weekend has not inspired confidence.

Spurs are 14th in the Premier League table and already 13 points adrift of the Champions League places. Ange Postecoglou continues to deal with a wealth of defensive absentees, though new arrival Antonin Kinsky has impressed in goal.

Arsenal can move within four points of leaders Liverpool with a win, after the latter drew with Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night. However, the Gunners are without a win in three games in all competitions and exited the FA Cup against Manchester United at the weekend.

Tottenham team news

Tottenham’s depleted defence has no new returnees, with Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies all remaining on the sidelines. First-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario (ankle) is also still out, though the encouraging early performances of January signing Antonin Kinsky will please Postecoglou.

Timo Werner joined those on the treatment table after picking up a hamstring issue at the weekend, with Wilson Odobert (hamstring) and Rodrigo Bentancur (head) form part of a large unavailable group.

There’s better news on Richarlison, who is back from his latest hamstring injury, while Fraser Forster could return to the squad after illness.

Tottenham predicted lineup

Tottenham predicted XI: Kinsky; Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence; Bissouma, Bergvall, Maddison; Kulusevski, Solanke, Son.
