Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has admitted that he is settling in nicely at the Emirates after completing his summer move from Serie A side Sampdoria.
The 22-year-old Uruguay international is yet to start a game for Unai Emery’s side but he has impressed after coming on as a substitute in all three of the Gunners opening Premier League fixtures.
While Torreira also revealed that living and playing in England is a lot different to what he is used to, he is enjoying training hard with his teammates and he believes Arsenal are playing good football under new coach Emery.
“I’m one of the newer players and I’ve just joined up with the squad,” Torreira said in quotes carried by the London Evening Standard.
“There are a lot of young players and we’re working very hard, with a lot of intensity.
“We’re getting to grips with what the coach wants from us and I think we’ve played some good football in the past few games.
“It’s all very new for me because I’ve come from a different type of league. The climate is different here and the way of life too, but I’m settling in nicely and training hard – the sessions are different too.”
