Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has suggested he would open to leaving the club in the January transfer window.
The Uruguay international has started just four league games so far this season and has become increasingly unsettled under Unai Emery at the Emirates, with a host of Italian clubs reportedly prepared to make a move to bring the former Sampdoria player back to Serie A.
Torreira has also been utilised in an unfamiliar position further forward during the current campaign, and the likes of AC Milan and Napoli are believed to be monitoring his situation ahead of the winter window.
When asked about his future, the 23-year-old gave no guarantees and admits he is unsure what will happen as the January transfer window approaches.
“Today Arsenal needs me to be focused,” Torreira told Uruguayan radio station Sport860.
“I can’t start talking about another team.
“I need to be focused and when the transfer window arrives we will see what will happen.
“I don’t know what can happen in the future.”
Unai Emery’s side currently sit sixth ahead of Saturday’s home clash with Southampton at the Emirates, eight points adrift of the top four following a run of four games without a win.
