Kieran Tierney remains a ‘long-term target’ for Napoli and the club are considering reigniting their interest in the full-back following his impressive Arsenal form.
Napoli were interested in signing Tierney before his move to the Premier League from Celtic in 2019, and the Italian side remain keen on strengthening their options at left-back with Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri on the club’s radar for a loan deal this month.
However, according to the Telegraph, Tierney will be ‘firmly in Napoli’s sights for future transfer windows’ with the Italians having been impressed by the youngster’s performances since moving to the Emirates.
The 23-year-old has been amongst the north Londoners most consistent players despite a difficult start to the Premier League season and has starred as the Gunners have returned to winning ways in recent fixtures.
Mikel Arteta has discussed the Scotland international as a future captain of the club, however, and Arsenal will be reluctant to lose a player who has proven a popular figure since signing in a £25m deal just 18 months ago.
Tierney has missed just one Premier League fixture for the north London side so far this season, scoring once and providing an assist in 16 appearances.
