Friday brought the draw for the Champions League’s last 16 and there are some mouth-watering clashes to look forward to.
Germany’s best collide in an all-Bundesliga match-up, while there’s a Madrid derby that will see the Spanish capital come to a halt in March. With the pathways for clubs now mapped out, we’ve decided to check in on who the bookmakers believe will become champions of Europe this season.
Using the latest odds from sports on Woom.Bet we’ve ranked the favourites to win the 2024/25 Champions League.
The favourites to win the Champions League after the last-16 draw
Bayern Munich – 7/1
Bayern Munich make hard work of their play-off tie with Celtic but are ranked as fifth favourites to win the tournament. Alphonso Davies scored a stoppage-time goal to send the German giants through, where Bayer Leverkusen await in the next stage.
Vincent Kompany’s side are eight points clear of Leverkusen domestically, though the latter – who dethroned Bayern as German champions last season – have edged their head-to-head games of late.

Bayern Munich have not beaten Leverkusen since September 30, 2022, a run of six games and 875 days.
Arsenal – 6/1
Arsenal are the only side on this list yet to win the Champions League but sit among the favourites for success in 2024/25.
The Gunners progressed in third place in the league phase and have been handed a favourable draw in the last 16. While Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven are no walkover, it appears a straightforward match-up for Arsenal given the scale of clashes elsewhere.
With a resolute defence and huge set-piece threat, Arsenal have the attributes to go deep into the latter stages.

Liverpool – 11/2
Liverpool were the best side of the league phase, winning their first seven games to qualify for room to spare. The Reds have also impressed in the Premier League to lead the title race from Arsenal by eight points.
However, Arne Slot’s side have been handed a tough task in the Round of 16 with Paris Saint-Germain their opponents. The French champions recovered from a poor start to progress to the play-off round before thrashing Brest 10-0 on aggregate.

PSG are also the only unbeaten team domestically across Europe’s top five leagues this season.
Barcelona – 9/2
Barcelona have been moved to second-favourites ahead of their last-16 date with Benfica.
The clash is a rematch of their epic encounter in the league phase, that saw Barcelona stage an astonishing comeback to win 5-4 in Lisbon. Barcelona lead La Liga and progressed comfortably from the league phase, with a forward line of Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski one of the best in Europe right now.
It’s been a decade since the Catalans last won this trophy.
Real Madrid – 7/2
Real Madrid are the current favourites despite needing a play-off to reach the last 16.
The holders often come alive when the tournament heats up and thrashed Manchester City this week to book their place in the draw. Kylian Mbappe scored a magnificent hat-trick and has found his form in the Spanish capital – an ominous warning to Europe’s defences.
