Erik ten Hag said he is confident that Manchester United are ‘moving forward’ after the club’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Manchester United eased into the Carabao Cup’s fourth round with a convincing win against the Eagles on Tuesday evening, as goals from Alejandro Garnacho, Casemiro and Anthony Martial secured a routine victory.
The result made it back-to-back wins and clean sheets for the Red Devils, who had lost four of their opening six fixtures of the season in all competitions.
Ten Hag has been pleased with the response from his side and insists there is a togetherness in his squad, as the club look to build momentum and improve results.
“It was a good night, we played quite well and dominated the game,” Ten Hag said, as per the BBC.
“If you don’t win, of course there is frustration and disappointment and the mood is then dropping. But the spirit was always good, the togetherness was there and is there – you could see that today.
“We made a step forward at Burnley with how we defended, the togetherness and today on the ball we made another step.
“There’s still a lot to come but we’re moving forward.”
