Tammy Abraham has refused to rule out a return to Aston Villa for the upcoming season.
The Chelsea forward enjoyed a successful loan spell in the Championship at Villa Park last season, scoring 26 goals to help fire Dean Smith’s side to promotion to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old has since returned to Stamford Bridge, where he is hoping to be given a first-team opportunity with the club currently serving a two-window transfer ban.
Abraham, currently with the England U21 side preparing for the European Championships, admits making a ‘breakthrough’ at Chelsea remains his priority after several loan spells away, but refused to rule out a possible return to Aston Villa next season.
“You can never say never,” Abraham told Sky Sports News.
“Chelsea is obviously the club that I have been at since a young so the aim is to try and breakthrough there.
“Like I say, you can never say never. We’ll see how things look.”
