Sunderland were brought back to earth with a very distinct bang after a 4-0 drubbing at home to the hands of Southampton.

Mannone: Sunderland definitely missing Pickford. Very poor performance. 2/10

Jones: Failed to close Bertrand down for the 1st goal. Poor defensive performance all round. 3/10

Kone: Poor defensive performance all round. 3/10

Denayer: Had to get something on the ball for the own goal. Poor defensive performance from all. 3/10

Oviedo: A few good tackles but not much more. 4/10

Ndong: Only one that really wanted the ball and had a few shots. 6/10
