Denis Suarez’s agent has welcomed interest from Napoli this summer, after the Spaniard’s disappointing loan spell at Arsenal.
The 25-year-old joined the North London club from Barcelona in January, but has failed to impress for Unai Emery’s side making just six substitute appearances.
The Spaniard has struggled to adapt to the physical demands of English football, and Arsenal are believed to be exploring other options after deciding against signing Suarez on a permanent basis.
Suarez’s agent, Felix Guende, has admitted the midfielder’s loan spell in English football ‘hasn’t been his best’.
“He has two years left at Barcelona. This year in England hasn’t been his best. He’s played little and hasn’t been able to find a rhythm,” Guende told Radio Kiss Kiss.
“At the moment, he’s injured. He has muscle fatigue and an injury. We’re awaiting the results from the exams.”
Guende also spoke on potential interest from Napoli, with the Italian side reportedly keen on taking Suarez to Serie A this summer.
“Napoli? The interest is always appreciated, being a team that has been fighting for the top positions for years,” he added.
“It’s a bit soon to talk about the transfer window, but we aren’t excluding anything.”
