Stewart: Celtic are firing on all cylinders

Former Hearts captain Michael Stewart was hugely impressed with Celtic’s 5-0 victory over his old side at Parkhead this afternoon.

While the former Scotland international believes the rest of the division will suffer as Hearts did when they come up against the Hoops.

”Celtic are firing on all cylinders. It’s top form from Celtic, opening teams up at will.’’ He told the BBC.

”It’s difficult to see how any other teams are going to deal with them, especially at Parkhead.”

Stewart felt that current leaders Hearts did not give the performance of a side looking to pip Celtic to the title, and reckons the Glaswegian club were worthy of their emphatic victory.

”Craig Levein came here saying they were capable of challenging for the title, but on that performance today, and I know they have players out injured, the team was miles off.’’ He continued.

”They need to dust themselves down regroup and get back to winning ways.

”Celtic thoroughly deserved it.”
