Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed the club are interested in signing Tottenham’s Kieran Trippier and PSV’s Hirving Lozano this summer.
The Italian side are looking to strengthen this summer after a disappointing campaign which has seen them trail Juventus by 16 points, whilst also exiting the Champions League at the group stage.
Ancelotti has spoken publicly about his transfer targets and is plotting a move for Tottenham full-back Trippier.
The England international has been a regular this season under Mauricio Pochettino, though speculation has persisted that he may be moved out after a series of below-par performances.
Napoli are also thought to be in talks over PSV Eindhoven’s Mexican forward Lozano, with the 23-year-old impressed during last summer’s World Cup and has scored 17 league goals so far this season, and former Chelsea boss Ancelotti confirmed his interest in the pair.
“Lozano and Trippier are among those that Napoli are following, I can confirm that,โ Ancelotti told a press conference .
“I can say that both are among the ones we are evaluating and therefore, being honest, I can only confirm my appreciation. Now we must proceed with the various steps [towards a transfer].
“The club and I want to improve the overall quality of the team and our ability to know how to read some moments of the games. These are the type of players we are looking for.”
Both players have also been linked with potential moves to Manchester United in recent weeks.
