Tottenham Hotspur will reignite their interest in young Fulham left back Ryan Sessegnon in a deal which could set the club back a staggering £50 million.

Spurs have been interested in Sessegnon for over a year, before he even made his debut for the Championship club, and once again were linked with him earlier this summer. However the youngster surprised many by signing a new deal to extend his stay with Fulham.

However, this hasn’t put off Mauricio Pochettino, who is still interested in signing the 17-year-old.

The Sun on Sunday claim that the Argentine will make a move for the youngster when the time is right, potentially as early as January, but probably most likely next summer.

However, the fact he has signed a new deal at Craven Cottage will significantly hit Spurs in the pocket, with a sensational fee of £50m being speculated. That would equal the amount that Tottenham received from Manchester City this summer for Kyle Walker.

However, they are not the only side interested in signing Sessegnon, with Manchester United having being linked. Jose Mourinho is yet to be impressed by Luke Shaw and could be prepared to move him on, with Tottenham also having being linked. United have also been linked to Spurs left back Danny Rose who earlier this summer criticised the club’s transfer policy and wage structure.
