Spurs move for Ndombele being ‘complicated’ by Lyon asking price

Tottenham’s pursuit of Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is being ‘complicated’ by the French club’s asking price.

The 22-year-old has emerged as one of the most promising talents in French football since joining Lyon in 2017, with a host of Europe’s top clubs believed to be interested in signing the midfielder.

After not making a single signing for 18 months, Mauricio Pochettino is desperate to add to his midfield options this summer as he looks to improve the Champions League finalists’ squad, having not replaced Belgian international Mousa Dembele who left for the Chinese Super League in January.

According to the Guardian though, the club’s move for Ndombele is stalling due to Lyon’s valuation of the six-cap French international. Spurs are believed to be willing to pay around €50m for the highly-rated youngster, with the Ligue 1 club demanding a fee of €75m.

Manchester United and Manchester City have also been linked with a move for the midfielder, whilst the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid are also said to be keen.
